Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia, the peak patient support body for those individuals who live with the risk of anaphylaxis (allergyfacts.org.au) has continued to show  their support in helping to educate the public by providing access to the recently published study by Dr Andrew Ratchford, Dr Benjamin Taylor and colleagues at both Mona Vale and Northern Beaches Hospitals. The study is the “first published study looking at how to remove a tick correctly in humans which will help change clinical practice worldwide. The study which has been published in the journal of Asia Pacific Allergy aimed to see which tick removal method was best for avoiding a potentially fatal anaphylactic reaction.” Over 17,000 views were recorded within seven days of the article being made available which further highlights the intense interest and need for community information and research being provided by TiARA and its supporters .
