TiARA Committee Member Maria Said, honoured with a Order of Australia Member (AM) in the 2022 Queen's Birthday Honours list

TiARA Committee Member Maria Said, honoured with a Order of Australia Member (AM) in the 2022 Queen's Birthday Honours list.

 The TiARA Committee wishes to congratulate, Maria Said AM, Co-chair of the National Allergy Strategy and CEO of Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia, for being awarded an Order of Australia in the 2022 Queen's Birthday Honours list for significant service to anaphylaxis treatment, education and prevention.

Maria joined A&AA 1993. She then became the organisation's national President in 1999 and was appointed the CEO in 2012. Maria is also the Co-chair of the National Allergy Strategy since 2015.

 As stated on the A&AA Facebook page and in the words of His Excellency the Governor- General “We are thrilled to see her 30 years of dedication and tireless advocacy to improving the quality of life for Australians with allergy and those that care for them, be recognised.”
